The rumours are true!

Ian's successful band from the nineties, Pele, will be reuniting for two shows ONLY. All five original members will play together for the first time in 16 years this summer to recreate those glorious shows between 1991-1995.
Pele formed in Liverpool in 1989 and their incendiary live show stormed the city and earned them a deal with Polydor in 1991. All four singles from the debut album Fireworks were playlisted on Radio 1 followed by two more albums, a legendary t-shirt, hits in the UK, Germany, Portugal, Holland and a number 1 in South Africa. Most of all though Pele will be remembered for those great live performances which earned them a legion of fans around the country.
All five original members are getting together one more time to re-live those sweaty nights at the Royal Court, Irish Centre, Adelphi Ballroom and Mountford Hall.
The Liverpool show is part of the Summer Pops season and will take place on Saturday 25th July. Tickets are on sale now from o2academyliverpool.co.uk.
The London show will be a week later at the Water Rats theatre in Kings Cross on Saturday 1 August. Tickets are available from ticketweb.co.uk.
Asked why after all these years he decided to get the band back together, Ian commented. 'Me Mum made me, she loved Pele so we'll have two cracking summer nights then I'll carry on with making Amsterdam the world's best band'.
